Policies are not available in all states. Suicide, misstatements and misrepresentation restrictions will apply. All applications for insurance are subject to underwriting qualification by the specific insurance company to which the application is submitted. Availability of premium rates and policy forms may be changed by each insurer without prior notice.

There is no guarantee that an offer for insurance will be made at the conclusion of the application process. Alkali is not an insurance company but acts as an agent representing numerous insurance companies. Alkali does not endorse any specific carrier.

By working with Alkali, you agree that the laws of the state of Texas, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will exclusively govern these Legal and Licensing terms and any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and the Company.

Existing Insurance Coverage

DO NOT CANCEL ANY EXISTING INSURANCE UNTIL YOU RECEIVE WRITTEN CONFIRMATION FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO WHICH YOU ARE APPLYING THAT YOUR NEW POLICY IS IN EFFECT.

Our Compensation

To ensure that you, our valued client, have all the information you need before you purchase an insurance plan from us, we are providing you with the following information about the cost of our services and how we are compensated.

How Alkali is Compensated as an Agency

Our services are provided at no extra cost to you. This means that you will not have to pay any fee to us to get information, receive a quote, or apply for a policy through our agency.

Alkali is paid by the insurance carriers we represent. If you apply for an insurance plan through our agency and are approved, you'll pay the premium to your chosen carrier, and you'll pay nothing to us. As an agency our compensation comes from the carriers in the form of commissions, bonuses, and occasional incentives, such as travel. These compensation arrangements are standard in the insurance industry.

Alkali is paid a commission by the carriers for each client that applies for a plan through our company and obtains coverage. Alkali’s commission is usually a percentage of the premium paid by the client to the carrier. Some of the carriers Alkali represent also award trips or other prizes to our company based on the number of clients who purchase their insurance plans through us.

Alkali never recommends plans based on the compensation we receive from a carrier and Alkali does not allow insurance companies to pay fees to improve their placement on our comparative quote engine whether you access our plans through our website or by calling us directly.

How Alkali Chooses to Compensate its Consultants

It is our opinion that the industry standard of paying consultants a commission percentage on premium sold is bad practice and only encourages Consultants/Agents to sell more premiums regardless of whether not it is in the best interest of the client.

We work very hard to make sure that each “Consultant” our clients work with has the “heart of a teacher.” We not only have a fantastic team of individuals with high integrity, we have built a unique process around those individuals to ensure that your interests always come first. To that end, Alkali consultants do not know which insurance company pays the highest commission or bonus nor do they care, because Alkali pays its Consultants a flat rate bonus on a per client served basis instead of the industry standard of commission percentage on premium sold.

This pay structure is totally unique for our industry and requires a delicate balance of accountability and trust, but has proven to be a winner for all parties involved.
