Everything Employers Need to Know about the New I-9 Form

Federal law requires that every employer who recruits, refers for a fee, or hires an individual for employment in the U.S. must complete Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. Form I-9 will help you verify your employee’s identity and employment authorization. 1

Effective January 22, 2017, employers must use the revised I-9 Employee Eligibility Verification Form for all new employees and existing employees requiring reverification.
